Outstanding customer service and great food!❤
Friendly waitress, fast service, ample quantity. The chicken dishes were not as flavorful as we have had in other authentic chinese restaurants. The korean dishes might taste better.
4 stars because the house salad was on the skimpy side, but overall it was good.
Oh this is delicious! Pure deliciousness!
Unexpected gem! This family run restaurant is offering real food made from tasty ingredients, and served in a cozy, family friendly setting. The vegetables were crisp and the sauces light but flavorful. There are plenty of gluten free options and the restaurant does not use msg. Overall, a delightful experience and a wonderful bookend to our holiday weekend. Love it!
The best Asian Restaurant on Oregon.
Decided to drop by for the first time. Grab something to go. While I was waiting, the hostess/owner talked to me about products they make from scratch and let me warm up with a small cup of hot and sour soup and Kim chi while I waited. Was very pleasantly surprised. I should have come in sooner.Got my food home... and the sushi was fantastic! Big fresh slices of tuna. So good! And they sent me with a salad and fried rice and rice sesame rolls to taste. All ways delicious. Very impressed
Quaint diner's ambiance with well-maintained but dated decor, pleasing on its own if you are in the mood. Ample parking. The food menu is a broad choice of Chinese ho-hum selections. The fried (white) rice was, however, well executed and the hot-and-sour soup of the day was also well executed. The rest was largely ordinary, with the exception of the fried prawns. Those were literally dripping with oil, so careful what you order. You can expect around $20/person for a substantial meal (you will need take-home boxes), before drinks and tip. Service was quick, not bad, but nothing to write home about. Overall ok, but fully unimpressive -- except for the fried stuff we tried. Very convenient location on the side of hwy 101 for a road road stop.
Ordered the general tso tofu, not bad too much sauce, request light on the sauce
Best Chinese food, hands down, I love everything we have tried
How are we suppose to eat or order if your phones don't get answered or are constantly busy?? I've called 12 times in the last hour with no answer.
Excellent food and great service. I love getting their California rolls every time I go. Lots of seating available and quick service even when they are busy. They have a neat coy (fish) pond outside. Feels like stepping into a piece of paradise to have a meal.
No veggies in chow main except cabbage
Excellent food! Had NO problems getting my choice gluten free!
It was an excellent choice for an out if towner.
Egg rolls are the bomb, sweet & sour chicken is a winner every time..
Yummy food and great presentation. Quick service
Love this restaurant! The menu is extensive with a great mix of different Asian style meals. Courteous wait staff and quick service.
Great Kung Pao Tofu! Friendly staff.
First time eating here . I ordered Bento which was on a Red plate that had maybe 8 division on it. Also had a salad first which was fresh and crispy with pea seeds and cucumbers. The meal came with soy sauce, dipping sauce and a sauce that had two flavors in one . One looked like mustard or horseradish the meal was deep fried cucumbers, shrimp, mushrooms, pork and sliced pork and four chose and chicken bits with a Asian barbecue sauce also deep fried carrots. Of course I took rice and shrimp home. The meal was warm but not hot which hot would of been better overall a 3 out 5 star even though the slices of ginger was a good touch.
Went on xmas day and had AMAZING food, they even have sushi 😁 so, so good- probably the best asain food I've ever eaten. I also had mongolian beef and shared crab puffs with the hubby. Everything was perfect. The service was TOP NOTCH, couldn't have asked for a better place to enjoy xmas dinner!! Thank you kum-yon!!
Gotdamned delicious. Appetizers were hot and fresh, on the table before we even finished ordering them. Food was out, hot and fresh, before we could even smell our appetizers. We'll be back for sure.Update - 1 week later - Nothing changed.
Excellent food and great portions!!!
Odd flavors, funky gravy, bland service. First try and we likely won't be back. Expensive for what you get. Might be better dining in.... we chose take out.
Great food and they had great service the soup could have used better flavor but it had good ingredients
Try the eel. I asked for the eel with advocodo and had them deep fry it for me. Delicious! Plus I had the shrimp and vegetable tempura. The breading was delicate and the wasabi and mustard sauce added just the desired blow-your-head-off factor!!
Awesome food . Great People.
This restaurant did not meet our expectations. The food was bland. The chow fun is supposed to have large noodles it came out with no noodles. They don't cater to Asian tastes.
May 29th 2020, I at their a week ago, it was great, at their tonight, same meal, it was tasteless, very little meat, the chow main noodles were like spaghetti noodles, no sauce or flavor at all. Will never never eat there again.
This isn't what you're expecting if you are looking for Asian food. In a party of 4, 3 people did not eat their entrees. Sweet & Sour Chicken was sliced pan-fried chicken breast. Their fried rice was actually steamed rice with stuff added (including corn!). The egg rolls had a thick, sweet, (possible pastry) wrapper. The Almond Chicken didn't have almonds, but cashews. This was a confusing menu, and made for a disappointing experience. Afterward we went to Burger King. No joke.
Extensive menu, quick service, lovely seating area with nice ambiance.
Good food and service
Awesome food & service!😀👍🍴
I've always been happy with the food there, but tonight was the worst service I've ever had there! 😰
Nice little place. Not too busy on the evening we went. The crab puffs did not taste like crab puffs and the wrappers were not great tasting. The Lo Mein wasn't what I have be accustomed to. The pork was old tasting, the beef had a liver taste to it. It was swimming in sauce. The Kung Pao Shrimp was good, it had plenty of shrimp in it. The fried rice was oily . The vegetables on both dishes were barely cooked. The waitress was friendly and the food was served without a long wait.
Service was slow. Menu has variety of categories like small appetites, family.
Best food in Coos Bay. Been going there for years. Never disappointed with the food or the service.
Love the food .. and my boss is amazing ..lol
Great food fast friendly service good prices. We loved our dinners.
Food was ok. Was served quickly. Waitress was not very friendly. She could have smiled more. But we felt like she wasn't happy serving us. We weren't offered any soup which we thought came with the meal. Maybe she was just having a bad day and it showed.
Waitress was rude food wasnt good and half my meal was served late
My coworker and I decided to give it a shot for lunch today after reading the mixed reviews. It became very clear why we were the only customers under the age of 60 in the restaurant. Bland, bland, bland! By chance, we both ordered the same dish, beef teriyaki with stir fried vegetables and pork fried rice. Nothing was seasoned at all. The fried rice was nothing but mushy steamed white rice that was mixed with a little bit of corn and peas. The teriyaki sauce was more water than anything(our plates were swimming in an bath of brown sweet water). After adding a lot of salt and pepper to our dishes to try and make them edible, my coworker found three hairs in his dish. That was enough and we left. I don’t write reviews. We aren’t critical people. A couple construction workers that usually are not picky at all. But this was a terrible $12 lunch plate of Chinese!
I am beyond disappointed. I normally go to Sumins which I love and decided to try this place. I asked for a meal for three people plus a few extra egg rolls. $75.00 later and I was shocked at the price. Got home and the food was dry, no flavor and cold. I will never and I repeat never eat at this place again. Nasty!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like U want good review Well you need to pay me I'm thinking of a value between On a piece of paper wrote out $5 Million dollars No really I want five million dollars.Of $100 Bills from 1945? Huh?
Fresh crisp organic salad, cut to nice bite size pieces and freshly rinsed! Very clean and beautiful garden views from their large windows. Classy friendly and accommodating service! Child friendly. Food is excellent! Great for the area.
The food quality has diminished considerably the last five years, in our opinion. we have been a customer for the last 30 years and probably will not return.
Very good food, excellent service. Soy free meal for my wife(allergies).
Wonderful food and nice people. One of my favorite restaurants in Coos Bay. Tables and booths and a large party area.
The ambience is cozy & pretty casual. The menu offers lots of options and spans from mostly Chinese & Japanese with loads of veggie options. Staff is attentive, friendly and have personality which I appreciate. The only thing we did not care for were the pork potstickers, but everything else was delicious & well cooked.
Don't order out if you eat here, they forgot an entire portion of my order (MY food it so happens 🤦🏻♂️) and the food really doesn't travel well. Everything that was fried was hard and stale after 15 minutes, which is how long it took to get home.
